(# 041) This very rare Timby Sad Iron Goose is inscribed with the Patent date November 18, 1851 and has a detachable handle. It measures 11" x 7.5" x 2.125" and sold for $2,500. ☆ The term "Goose" originates from the goose-neck curve in the handle. A large and heavy iron, this would have been used in a commercial laundry or tailor's shop.
